Initiative partners with Best Buy to host conference on consumer empowerment
The Galvin Electricity Initiative has partnered with Best Buy to host the “Empowering Consumers through the Smart Grid” conference on September 29, 2010, from 8:00 a.m–12:00 p.m. In collaboration with the Minnesota Office of Energy Security and the Minnesota Smart Grid Coalition, the event will be held at Best Buy Headquarters in Richfield, Minnesota.

Initiative launches new online resource - the Microgrid Hub
The Galvin Electricity Initiative launched the Microgrid Hub on May 20th to coincide with the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming's Capitol Hill briefing, "Microgrids: A Critical Component of U.S. Energy Policy." The Microgrid Hub provides a comprehensive set of resources on microgrids, collected from the Initiative's partners and from across the web.
