Galvin Electricity Initiative: Phase 1

Phase 1 of the Galvin Electricity Initiative focused on defining consumer needs, specifying the design criteria of the Perfect Power System, selecting system configurations, and identifying potential areas of technology innovation. For each technology area identified, a criticality gap analysis compares the current state of technology and functionality to the level of performance required for the Perfect Power System of the future.

Phase 1 Results Summary
This report summarizes the work completed in Phase One of the Initiative—including defining consumer needs, specifying the design criteria of the “perfect power system,” selecting system configurations, and identifying potential areas of technology innovation. For each technology area identified, a criticality gap analysis compares the current state of technology and functionality to the level of performance required for the perfect power system of the future.
